It is with great sadness, that we must announce that Michael Allen Lynch passed away peacefully on November 20, 2012, at the age of 80 years. Michael was a beloved husband; father, grandfather, brother, uncle, teacher, and above all friend. Mike was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating from high school in 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and gave 22 years of dedicated service, eventually retiring as Chief Warrant Officer, 3rd class. After retirement, he passionately taught welding at the SRJC beginning in 1973 and continuing until 1995. Mike was an avid golfer, having never missed a tee time, and greatly enjoyed his weekly golf engagements with friends. As well as his love of golf, he enjoyed hot air ballooning. Mike was an active lifelong volunteer in his community and he greatly enjoyed his time serving as a Citrus Fair board member. In addition, Mike was also a member of The American Legion and The Druids. Mike leaves behind his beloved wife Frances; daughters Rebecca Lynch-Terry (Dolan), Kathlynne Walsh (David), Molly Lynch, Carolyn Ramage and Lisa Ramage; two sons Kevin Lynch and Joel Lynch; three grandsons Alexander, Orion and Cody, four granddaughters Jessica, Cheri, Brenda and Gillian; sister Phyllis and brother Jim in addition to much loved extended family and friends. Services for Mike will be held on Tuesday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Hall at 205 W. First Street Cloverdale, CA. Interment will be Friday Nov. 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the American Legion or New Horizons School and Learning Center in Santa Rosa, CA.
