This lady was my second mom when I was growing up in Daly City. Clarence, Nina, David & Kenny were our best friends and lived across the street from us on Glenwood Avenue. Nina, I will always love you.

Dear Nina, We will miss you!!!
It all happened so quickly, we didn't know what to say.
All sad, dismayed and weary, we opened our heart.
To God and each other trying to understand this part.
We love you and miss you and we'll only understand
Through God's help and wisdom, we know your in His hands.
Words untold, had we known, we could have expressed.
What a dear person you are - you're just the best!!!
Your faithfulness was shown in such a special way
In leading the Rosary to our Blessed Mother each day.
Such an honor is not given to just any "one"
It had to be "someone special" and lovingly done.
You did it with love, offered up many a prayer
For those in community, and more that needed "her care".
Your little acts of kindness, little tokens of love
Were your gifts to us Nina, from our dear Lord above.
We thank God for you Nina, a special person indeed
Opening your heart in times for those in need.
Farewell sweet friend, we have all been so blessed.
With good memories and your acquaintance-God knows all the rest!!!
Till we see you again. Friends of St. Eugene's

Poem for Nina
So Nina,
Today you body was delivered to rest,
Our friendship was short,
But I think your the best,
Your in God's Company now,
His companion and honored guest.
Your in that Place,He promised
And which we can only wonder,
You left us quite suddenly,
Our Hearts are torn asunder.
No chance to say good bye,
We'll miss those coffee morning's
And laughter Bye and Bye.
Your in that Honored Place,
Prepared for you so long ago,
So keep an eye on us awhile,
For the journey we must go.
We'll bind each other in our loss,
And carry on for sure,
For Your Faith was Strong,
And an example to us,
There was none Truer.
Enjoy your rest,Dear Nina,
And watch for us still here,
Know you'll be missed,
And your Memory we'll hold dear.

May she rest in peace. I gave Nina her allergy shots for many many years. She always brought me peppermint patties at Christmas (even after I transfered to another facility) because she knew they were my favorite. Such a kind hearted lady .

So sorry to hear of her passing away. My mother (Pearl), who passed 3 months ago, always looked forward to their annual reunion when several cousins got together. I remember how friendly she was to us when we visited her in santa rosa many years ago, she was so happy to visit with mom. She is now in heaven with my mom, may they have wonderful conversations- they were both so devoted to God and church, it was beautiful.

Sorry for your loss. It is sad to lose a loved one. She reminds me of my grandmother when she died a few years ago. I take comfort in the fact when I read the scripture John 11:11-14. It is something God promises. I hope you take comfort in it too.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack for any good thing. In verdant pastures He grants me rest. Beside restful waters He leads me; He invigorates my soul. He directs me in paths of righteousness so that His Name may be glorified. Even though I wander through a dark valley I will fear no evil; for You are at my side with Your rod and Your staff that fill me with courage. You spread a table before me as my foes look on. You anoint my head with oil; my cup is filled to overflowing. Only goodness and kindness will be my companions every day of my life. And I shall establish my dwelling in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen (Psalm 23)

Nina was so dear. She was kind, thoughtful, considerate and a true friend. I will miss all of those qualities, but most especially, the laughter. Nina was the funniest person I have ever known. I will miss her and love her always.

Nina Marie, will always have a spot in my heart, simply, because she gave me a white veil in in the year 2012, which I'd been wearing since 2013. She also leads the recitation of Scriptural Rosary at Saint Eugene's Cathedral at 7:30 AM before 8:00 AM mass, ever since I'd been here in Santa Rosa for 24 years..as far as I can remember... please correct me if I'm wrong, Nina Marie and the rest of the members of the Rosary Group probably started before 1990? Consequently,if and when Nina takes a vacation she always assigned someone to lead the Rosary. She also does the Devotion to the Sacred Heart every 1st Saturday of the month in the Adoration Chapel at 1:00 PM. Nina Marie is a gift to all of us. She reminds us of her spirituality and with that, thus, she hasn't miss Hail Mary Devotion at my home since 2010 and most recently, last May, 2014. What a gift that you shared to us Nina! And, I thank you for all the time you shared with all of us. You're presence at my home is greatly appreciated and will be missed.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let Perpetual light shine upon her, may she rest in peace. Amen.
For the Adams family:
May the Almighty God give the grace of strength you all need especially in this trying times. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
Very truly yours,
Monalisa
