On August 23rd Patti passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side; her children holding her hand as she left this earth after a 6 month battle against a rare skin cancer. A long time resident of Sebastopol and Sonoma County, she lived in Santa Rosa the last 3 1/2 years, Patti was 55 years old; born in Battle Creek, Michigan to William E. Shrubb the 1st and Hazel J. Meech whom Patti is now in Heaven with. Patti was a valued employee at Parker Hannifin Corporation in Rohnert Park for 29 years! Patti was a devoted and loving mother who always put her children first. She loves riding horses, her ten speed from high school and her new scooter. She spent her free time in her precious garden, never watching the grass grow, but always working hard making sure it grew. Patti was always up for any adventure driving across country, going on a cruise to Alaska or a road trip to Yellowstone. Patti loved to laugh nothing was too embarrassing to do if it made the kids laugh! Her laugh and her smile are contagious. Summer was her favorite time of year with BBQ's, bone-fires, and of course her fireworks. Summer was filled with lovely trips to Michigan; rib cook offs in Sparks, and camping trips throughout the west. Patti is survived by her daughter Monica Ann Boyd (Chris) of Rohnert Park, son Dominick Anthony Celestina of Santa Rosa, her beloved grandchildren Alyssa and Bryson Boyd, Sisters Karen Allan (John) of Millbrae, Sandra Shrubb and deceased husband Mike of Michigan, Brothers William E. Shrubb the 2nd (Connie) of Michigan, Denver Shrubb of Michigan, 8 nieces, 8 nephews, her beloved dog April and cat Zeus. She touched so many lives and souls...her presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for, an angel has received her wings. Memorial Service will be held at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, 1700 Pleasant Hills Road, Sebastopol on Friday, August 30th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation, Melanoma Cancer, Text "MRF" to 85944 to make a $10.00 donation or send a check to Melanoma Research Foundation, PO Box 759329, Baltimore, MD 21275-9329.
