Peter C. Ruth

65, passed away suddenly on October 8, 2010 at Palm Drive Hospital in Sebastopol. He went through life with a whistle and a smile and a spring in his step, always making those around him better. Adored and loving husband of 15 years to Andrea Ruth, he lived with her and their three cats (Sprout, Tender, Custard) and dog (Buster) in a quaint Sebastopol cottage for the last three years. Prior to that, he lived in San Jose and the South Bay Area for 40 years, where he was an avid software developer. He loved driving and exploring the back roads of California and being an amateur photographer. He always spoke of travel, especially to the South of France and Monaco, where he spent most of his 7 1/2 years in the Air Force, racing Formula 1 and 2 and endurance racing. He was the very proud father of Peter, Pam, Robert, and Paul, and loved them all. He also leaves behind his sisters Barbara, Linda and his brother Jack. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 15th at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1700 Pleasant Hill Rd., Sebastopol.
