Richard Curtis (Dick) Connell Notice
Richard (Dick)Curtis Connell passed away on December 2, 2018 holding hands with his family and knowing he was loved. He was 91 years old, born on December 8, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in a three generation household, where faith and music was the center of their lives. He enjoyed music all his life, singing in a Barbershop Quartet, singing Swedish songs, and entertaining family and friends with his famous "Oompa song." He loved all sports, playing ice hockey, football, fast pitch softball, and golf. He coached Little League Baseball for many years. He was a real estate broker for 25 years and served as the President of the Sonoma County Board of Realtors. Dick is survived by his wife, Dorothy Connell, his brother and sister-in-law, Rusty and Sharon Connell, their children and grandchildren; Dick's Children: Kathy and Lloyd Coker, Susie Montiel, and Brian and Tricia Connell; Dick's grandchildren: Kimberly and Neil Nicholson, Kevin Coker, Michael and Chenoa Montiel, Erin Montiel, Kaela and Sol Tong, and Mitch and Jessie Connell; his great grandchildren: Katelyn and Braden Nicholson, Siena and Trenton Montiel, Eleanor, Lucy, and Nathan Connell, and Kai Tong. He will always be remembered for his big bear hugs, his positive attitude about life, his honesty, and integrity.
