Richard Wolbert of Santa Rosa passed away 12/19/12 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was survived by his wife, Mary, two daughters, Virginia Johnson and Tish Ferguson, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was born and reared in Pasadena, California. He was appointed to Annapolis Naval Academy and attended UCLA and San Francisco State University. He served his beloved country upon the USS Iowa Battleship during the Korean War. He was a member of the Pasadena Boys Choir, Santa Rosa Church Choir, Sonoma County Barbershop Chorus, the Acacia Fraternity, and the Campus Crusade for Christ. He also was a member of the Elks Club, Druids, Eagle Forum, and served as the President of the Model A Club of Sonoma County. He owned and operated Jackson Pest Control in Sonoma and Marin Counties until his retirement in 1989. He loved stamp collecting, reading, adventure and exploring nature. He touched many lives along the way. Services will be held at Santa Rosa Bible Church on January 19, 2013 at 11:00.
