O'DONALD, Robert Frank (also known as "Odie" and "Boo Boo Bear"); Passed away after a long illness on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the age of 67. Dearly beloved husband of Christina O'Donald for 27 years; loving father of John X-G Anaya and wife Jessica Lopez-Anaya of San Diego, Alia Bleibel of Huntington Beach, Kristina A.M. O'Donald and Robert F. O'Donald, Jr., both of Murfreesboro, TN; dear brother of Pauline Jackson of Los Angeles and Rachel Brown-Davilla of Inglewood; also survived by many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends, all of whom will miss him greatly. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served two enlistments during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to the USS Iwo Jima, earning the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal in Vietnam. Bob graduated from high school, and continued his education in many technical training classes. Anything active - he loved! Fishing, boating, hiking, baseball, river rafting and gold mining in the out of doors and bowling and pool indoors. He had great pride and love for his country, his family, and a sense of duty that always got the job done. For 18 years, he worked as a Painter Foreman at Mare Island Ship Yard under the DOD. Friends are invited to an evening Liturgy Service on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m.. to 7:00 p.m., just prior to the service. Inurnment, with military honors, will be on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Veterans Section, 1900 Franklin Ave., Santa Rosa.
