Age 74, of Santa Rosa, died December 6, 2012. Native of Santa Rosa, he was a 1957 graduate of Santa Rosa H.S. Bob served in the Naval Reserves. He had a 33-year career at Safeway, where he met and married his partner for life, Kathy. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, diving, and fishing. Bob will be remembered for his passion for gardening and traveling, and for dedication to his family. In addition to Kathy, Bob is survived by his son Tim (Barbara), daughter Anne (Rich) Caro; stepdaughters Emily Scherer (Matthew), and Anna Mannie; grandchildren Zachary, Carlena Grant, Luke and Ayden. Bob, "You're simply the best." A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 16 at Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave., Santa Rosa. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory can be made to the Humane Society or to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of America.
