Charlotte Went to rest on December 16, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Rowena was born on April 8, 1951, and Is survived by her husband Anthony Sawyer, daughter Toni, step-son Anthony, brothers Robert Smith Jr. and Terry Smith (Candice), mother Katherine Smith, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Christine Hurd, brother Wayne Marrufo, and Father Robert Smith Sr. Rowena was a member of the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians, she valued tradition, and embraced the culture through song and dance. Rowena's loves included traveling, sports, baking, crafts, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Friends and Family are invited to the celebration of Rowena's life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sebastopol Ward, LDS Church, 8100 Valentine Ave., Sebastopol. Interment at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn, 7951 Bodega Ave., Sebastopol. Santa Rosa Mortuary Eggen & Lance Chapel, 545-3747.
