Born March 16, 1910 to November 17, 2012 Roy F. Unger was born and educated in San Francisco, CA, moving to Rohnert Park 36 years ago, with his wife Edna. Roy is survived by his wife Edna Unger and daughters Linda Schaeffer of Tillamook, Or and Marje Kimberly of Placerville, CA. Roy is an Army Veteran of World War II, proudly serving the United States of America as a medic for four years. Following the Army, he was the Display Manager at the City of Paris department store in San Francisco for many years. Roy is a past Commander of Rohnert Park Post 338 of the American Legion, where he received life- time membership. He was a Master Mason of the Richmond Masonic Lodge in San Francisco. Roy died as he lived, with dignity and grace. Graveside services with Military Honor Guard were held for immediate family on November 30, 2012, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. He was 102 years young.
