Sheila Conley Obituary

Passed away on December 4, 2010 at the age of 63. Born July 8, 1947 in Stockton, CA to Phillip and Margie Johnson. Survived by her children Sarah Crayford (Derrick) and Elias Conley; sisters Shannon Adams (Carrol), and Shelley Ramsey (Gerry); and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother Margie Stratton, father Phillip Johnson, husband Russell Conley, brothers Sean and Shay Johnson, and niece Lisa Johnson. Sheila started her career as a Psychiatric Technician in Eldridge, CA and went on to be a Developmental Specialist. She devoted more than 30 years to working with the developmentally disabled. For the last 12 years she worked as a DSP Training Instructor. Her work was always her passion in life. She was a carefree spirit who had a unique way of touching the lives of everyone she knew. She loved animals, music, dancing, watching Charlie Chan movies, just to name a few. To all that knew her she would say ""We are not saying goodbye forever, just for now." Services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, 1700 Pleasant Hill Rd., Sebastopol. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Conley Family Trust at Exchange Bank.

Here's an updated few memories of Sheila: I grew up with Sheila and her brothers and sisters. Jumprope, hopscotch, pogo sticks, running and playing, being classmates in school. Learning to dance with Sheila at her home with their record player. Sheila was always a kind soul and big heart. Sending love and blessings to her family in memory of Sheila. Bruce Doneux

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sheila's passing away. As Carol Sims related, it was very special seeing Sheila and Sarah at the high school reunion last August. I'm very glad to have had the chance to connect with her. We lived across the street from one another as children. I have so many wonderful memories of our playing together, dancing together, and sharing such a loving friendship. I extend my sympathy to Sarah, Shannon, Shelley and the rest of the family.
Blessings to you all.

I was so shocked to see Sheila's obituary in this morning's Stockton Record. I'm so happy that Sheila and her daughter Sarah came to our Stagg High 45th reunion last Aug. 28. It was so good to see her and to meet Sarah. Sheila and I were good friends at El Dorado School and were able to get in touch again because of our high school reunion. I offer my sincere condolences to Sheila's entire family.

What a blessing to have known you my friend. You'll keep the angels busy dancing on the clouds. I know you and your Mom will be keeping an eye on all of us. Thank you for being such a sweet, joyous lady. I'll never forget you and I dancing our old booties off at the Shrimp Feed. As much as it hurts to think of losing you, the memories of you brings a smile to my face.

God bless your family and bring them comfort.

Shannon and Shelly, I couldn't hardly believe it when Judy called and told me. I remember all the good times we had when we were together as kids. We were always into something, but we always had fun. I am sorry we were not able to keep in touch and I miss her she was a great cousin and friend. We will keep you in our prayers. Love Sandy
