Entered the home of the Creator on June 11, 2012, at the age of 90. A loving wife of 54 years to the late Louis Galleto of Windsor; loving mother of Marcellena Becerra, the late Leo Galleto, Joan Vallis, and Louella Galleto-Flores. Vera left behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She was Pomo and Coast Miwok, an honored Elder, and was proudly enrolled on the Cloverdale Rancheria of Pomo Indians. Vera was one of the last two lodge members of the FACSI Legionario's of Sonoma County. She always had a tremendous amount of energy, a positive radiance, an infectious laugh, a heart of gold, and smile that melted every problem. Vera enjoyed gambling and enjoyed her trips with her sisters and family. She was always present at her tribal meetings, tribal events, and loved to travel up and down the state to Indian Health Care meetings, visiting all the Indian Casinos along the way. Vera will be missed tremendously by her family and friends, but we know that she will be greeted in heaven by her husband Louis, siblings; Melvin Jack, Frances Tapian, Marie Stra, and Eva Antone, parents; Ben Jack and mother Lena Martin, and many others that have passed on. Family and Friends are invited to attend services at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa, CA on Sunday June 17, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for prayer, and Monday June 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Shiloh addition of the Santa Rosa Memorial Park in Windsor, CA. Reception will be held immediately following at the Filipino Community Center in Fulton, CA.
