I had the tremendous honor of knowing Coach Trumbo as a Basketball coach and a friend. Coach was one of the finest most giving people I.ve ever known. I officiated his basketball games at SRJC. His team was the best coached in the conference. A bright man, he,s the best teacher of basketball I've ever officiated. I worked over 2,000 games. I spent hours talking and learning from Coach Trumbo.
May you rest in heaven and thanks for making a difference in my life. Your in my heart forever.

Gods grace be with you on your journey to be with our Lord. You were a person I looked too for guidance while we were at Chapman College. God has his plan for all of us and you. I know you will be doing his work. We will miss you and that easy going way you had. Gary Larson.

Bill will be remembered for his friendly smile and caring spirit as a leader years ago during his service at First Baptist Church. His imprint was felt long after he moved away, and we had the added joy of watching both Tracey and Marcia grow into caring young ladies, a legacy to Bill as their father. John & Sharon Adams

I attended one of Coach Trumbo's basketball camps, many years ago. And I was also lucky to have seen many of his legendary Santa Rosa (CA) Junior College basketball teams in action.
Coach Trumbo was a basketball sage, and a well-respected coaching master. At his basketball camp, as he drilled and taught us how to do things the right way, he gave us some amazing demonstrations of his own remarkable athletic abilities. Watching the "old guy" perform jaw-dropping feats, while running circles around the well-conditioned youngsters, was a sight to behold! He could still school people on the court, as well as from the bench!
Thank you, Coach, for being a profoundly important influence on so many lives. Your noteworthy contributions to this world will always be indelible.
