Passed away suddenly in Santa Rosa on April 2, 2012 at the age of 51. Beloved son of Colene Ingraham and the late Richard Ingraham; loving brother of Colette Ingraham and Danelle Van Alstyne and her husband Byron; dear nephew of Dianne Carle, Donna Wright and Margaret Paul; adored uncle of Connor, Carly and Kyle and cousin to Bill (Nancy), Jeff (Loren), Robert, John and Cathy. He also lovingly leaves the entire extended Van Alstyne and Carle families. Family and friends were the core of Bret's life. An outdoor enthusiast, private pilot and avid athlete, Bret was Captain of his boat, loved any water sport, biking, hiking, tennis, photography, skiing, backpacking, fishing, hunting, long drives and rides on his motorcycle. He cherished boating adventures with his Pirates at Lake Sonoma (PALS) friends, and adored time on his boat on beautiful Lake Tahoe. Bret was a devoted friend to everyone. He always looked forward to the annual pilgrimage to Bass Lake to spend Memorial weekend with his Cal Poly brothers of Alpha Upsilon and Delta Upsilon. Bret cared deeply about his many friends in the construction industry, with whom he worked in Sonoma County for more than 25 years. To honor and celebrate Bret's life, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral and Cremation Services (707) 525-3730
