On Saturday morning, April 7, 2012, Bob Anderson left the loving arms of his wife, daughter, sister and brother-in-law to the heavenly arms of his mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandparents and best friend to embark on his next adventure. We are sure that his choir teacher, "Jakie" has Bob, Jim and other choir members singing. Bob was born in Eureka, CA to Bernard T. and Luella Henningsen Anderson on September 12, 1934. He attended St. Bernard's grammar school, Eureka Jr. High and graduated from Eureka High School in 1952. He was married to Shirley Sweat, had two daughters, Kathleen and Brenda. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1958 to November 1960. He worked for his father for many years in the car business, starting in tires and working his way to Used Car Manager. In July of 1961 Bob married Nancy Griffiths and they had a daughter, Ann. In 1966 Bob and family moved on to Santa Rosa, CA, where they lived - except for a hiatus to Sacramento, CA - for a year. Bob then worked in many sales positions for several years before becoming interested in security. He worked for California Plant Protection as a security guard and worked his way into a management position and finally Regional Manager. He was there when Cal Plant bought Pinkerton. After retiring, he worked in apartment management and enjoyed the change immensely, retiring in 2010. Bob was predeceased by his grandparents, Aunt Lois and Uncle Howard Frakes, his Father Bernard T. Anderson, his Mother Luella Anderson/MacMillan and his infant daughter Kathleen. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy, daughters Brenda Kay Hayes (Dennis) and Ann Marie Folsom (Kirk), sister Nancy Quintrell (Don), grandson Tyler Richner and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Richner. He is also survived by his step-mother, Frances Anderson and half-sisters, Linda Anderson, Lisa Trondsen and half-brother, Barry Anderson. He also leaves many loving cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends in Eureka and Santa Rosa. Last but not least his side-kick Jack Russell, Misty. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful people in health care who have taken care of Bob for the past year and a half. He unfortunately could not fight on.
