Donette Mae Armstrong passed away peacefully on September 15, 2012 when her spirit slipped away to eternal life. Born June 15, 1956 in Santa Rosa, CA, she graduated from Petaluma High School in 1975 where she excelled in many sports. She played powder puff football, ran track and was on the softball team. She even tried out for women's wrist wrestling. She and her family lived in Stockton and Reno for many years before returning to Petaluma. She was a long time employee at Steel Bear Deli for many years until the business sold. She was an avid pool player and top shooter for the Willowbrook and Buckhorn leagues, where the team won numerous championships. Donette was a free spirit who loved riding horseback, four wheelers, camping, fishing, playing cards and playing the harmonica at the many BBQs at the ranch. She loved watching the stars and moon and her baseball team was the Giants who she loved to watch play at the Aquarium while visiting many of her friends. Childhood sweetheart and cherished wife of Rick Armstrong, to whom she was married for 34 years. She is survived by her husband Rick Armstrong, daughter Bridgette and her partner Eric, grandchildren Talia, Cyrus, Drayken, Autumn, Jordon and Austin. Her mother Bette Quaresma, her father Donald Quaresma who preceeded her in death. Sister Merrilee, her nephew Vincent and niece Elena and sister Shari (Jeff Bernard). Donette is remembered and cherished by many close, lifelong friends. Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend will never be forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Adobe Creek Funeral Home 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma, CA 94952. Donations in her name to Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue P.O.
