Passed away in Santa Rosa on October 4, 2012 at age 83, after a brief illness. Lovingly survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria; children Kathryn (Steve), Steven (Ronna), Paul, Ray (Alicia), David (Lori), Alyce and the late George; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his sister Ida. A member of Operating Engineers Local #3. A "Jack of all Trades," he enjoyed anything outdoors, gardening, woodworking and milling his lumber. An avid supporter and member of the timber Cove VFD.
