Entered into rest peacefully with her family by her side, at her home in Santa Rosa, CA. on October 7, 2012. Dearly beloved sixty-nine year wife of Louis L. Ricci of Santa Rosa. Beloved mother of Jacqueline J. (Richard) Tucker of Penngrove, CA and Sharon L. (Fred) Neidlinger of Redding, CA. Adored grandmother of Rodney (Jennifer) Scinto of Bend, OR, Rebecca (Tom) Langer of Santa Rosa, Renee (Chris Brown) Scinto of Santa Rosa and Darrin (Kerri) Neidlinger of Folsom, CA. Cherished great grandmother of six. Caring sister of Daria Calvi of Occidental, CA and June (Robert) Rossini of Santa Rosa. Also survived by three step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, her sister-in-law; Nilda Mulas of Sonoma, CA and brother-in-law; Andy Bordessa of Valley Ford, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Occidental, CA and lifelong resident of Sonoma County, age 89 years. Claudia is preceded in death by her parents; John W. Gonnella and Leontina (Donati) Gonnella, as well as nine other brothers and sisters. Claudia and her husband, Louis, were co-owners of Santa Rosa Livestock, where she worked alongside her husband and served as head bookkeeper. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling with her brothers and sisters to the many Reno Slot Machine Tournaments and above all, her family. Claudia was a member of the Sonoma-Marin Cattle Women's Association. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to Martha-Ana and Yolanda for their devotion of care and kindness extended to them...you will always be remembered. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy Service on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409). Private interment; Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL will provide visitation hours in the Fireside Room on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Claudia's memory may be made to Sutter Care at Home (1110 No. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401), who kindly assisted with Claudia's homecare.
