Nanette Lynda Scott, 81, of Santa Rosa, California, passed away on November 5, 2012 in Fresno, California. A celebration of my mom's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday November 15, 2012 at Neptune Society of Santa Rosa California at the cemetery chapel located at 2607 Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa, California 95404. Nanette was born in Oakland California to Harold and Dorothy Arendt on December 14, 1930. She went to school at Oakland Technical High with Clint Eastwood (she always would point this out). She married my dad Edwin Ellery Scott in Lake Tahoe Nevada. She worked as an administrative assistant/office manager for several companies during her working career and retired in Santa Rosa California. She was involved with the Lyon's Clubs of America when she and my dad lived in Fresno. Nanette was an avid bridge player in Santa Rosa for many years and, from what we understand from friends, a very good one. Nanette is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Dorothy Collins, husband Edwin Ellery Scott. Nanette is survived by her sons Kirk Collins and his wife Glenda of San Diego California/Perth Australia and Greg Collins and his wife Megaan of Fresno California. She had six grand children Tiffany, Kyle, Erik, and Alexandra (peanut) of San Diego, and Jon-Michael and wife Jo-Ann, and Raquel of Fresno. She also was a great grandmother to Elliana and one still in the oven of Fresno. Nanette also adored her nieces and nephews Debbie, Donnie, Richie, and Jannie of Redding California. She is also survived by her brother Harold Arendt of Redding California and brother in law James and Mary Fanning of Rockland Maryland. Donations can be made in her name to Cancer Research. The family of Nanette wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of Fresno, Orchard Park Assisted Living (Kelly, Dee, and the staff), Dr. Kulkarni, and Nyomi Rivas who was my moms care giver and friend during her illness in Fresno.
