On December 15, Norma Jean Lukasiewicz of Santa Rosa, CA passed away peacefully in Sebastopol, CA. She was immediately greeted in heaven by her Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Anna Cross, brothers Wayne and Donald and sister Elaine. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Melvin Lukasiewicz, daughters Pam (Gary) Schmidt and Jan (Carl) Schwartz of Santa Rosa, sons Jim (Barbara) Lukasiewicz of Las Vegas, NV and Ric Lukasiewicz of Parker, CO. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren with three on the way. Surviving her also are brothers Roger (Jean) Cross of Saratoga, CA and Larry (Katherine) Cross of Detroit, MI along with sisters in law Delores Cross of Overland Park, KA and Eunice Lukasiewicz of Grand Island, NE. Norma was born July 28, 1932 In Gothenburg, NE and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in Grand Island, NE. She and Melvin raised their family in Farwell, NE and Grand Island, NE. Norma and Melvin moved to Novato, CA in 1980 and then to Santa Rosa seven years ago to be nearer to their children and their families. Norma was always doing surprising, interesting and loving things for her family and friends. She was a tremendously talented artist who excelled in many different mediums. Her artwork was recognized by the National Audubon Society. A memorial service will be held at Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa at 10:00 a.m. this Friday, Dec. 21. Friends are welcome to join us in this celebration of her life.
