At age 85, Tony died peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side on December 19th, 2012. Tony, one of 10 children, born in Newark New Jersey to Italian immigrants James and Rose Rizzitello, is predeceased by his first wife Cathy, daughter Judy, his two brothers and three sisters, and his faithful dog Sasha. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jerilyn, his daughters Maryjane Janie Ritzi Rizzitello (Terri), Mary Billings, Jenny O'Keefe; sons Jimmy Rizzitello Jr., Mike Billings, Steve Billings (Cindy), Greg Billings (Suze), Darren and, Tom Billings. Tony leaves behind so many of his most precious grand, great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that are too numerous to list, from NJ, Florida, Washington, Idaho and California; wonderful close extended family, Lois Rebottaro (Tom and Susie), his sisters Lucy Purzycki, Rosemarie Lunetta, and Patty Karrer (John), his brother Salvatore Rizzitello, and, Charlie, his 'recycling' friends. Affectionately known to family and friends as 'Toe Knee', Grandpa or Mr. Ritz, Tony was especially known for his love of dancing, life, his dog Rosie, gambling in Reno, Tahoe or at Shokawah, his faith, recycling and most importantly his wife and family and large extended family. A World War II veteran, Tony worked many years in the Deli and Supermarket businesses. In his retirement years he worked as a door greeter at local restaurants and businesses. Tony loved people. The family would like to especially thank the wonderful support by SR Memorial Hospice (Nancy, Robin, Norma among others) care providers Luz, Connie F. and his nurse practitioner, Susanne, plus many others who took care of him over the past nine months. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Tony's life, Saturday January 12th, 2013 at the Rincon Valley Senior Mobile Home Park Clubhouse from 2 - 5:00 p.m. Contact family members for details.
