"I wake up every morning," Heywood (Beau) Solberg Mansergh would reply when asked how he managed to live for 104 years. Born at home in Duluth, Minnesota where his arrival was accompanied by birth chants from the Native Americans camped nearby, Beau went to Glendale High School with John Wayne, delivered the Los Angeles Times on horseback, and graduated from Tufts University where he met and married "the sweetest little girl in the world," Virginia Pettingill Mansergh. Longtime resident of Millbrae, California, Beau was the father of three, grandfather of seven, great grandfather of five and beloved in-law and friend. Beau's final words were "I love you, too." A family beachside memorial service is planned.
