Mrs. Hoffman as I knew you and called you. Thank you for allowing me to work for you when I was 11 years old until I was 14... I do believe working for you after school most days and Saturdays and all summer long had kept me out of trouble.....
Sometimes I go back to Hurley Rd to see where I grew up and always stop at your old driveway and still see those 2 big planters we placed on both sides at the entrance of the driveway...I sit in my car and tell all that are with me that you & I put them there and how you had me digging 2 holes and putting rocks in it for a footing on that hot summer day. Even though it was 47 years ago, they still look the same way.... Not many can say that you sang to them directly as you did to me when you were telling what work you wanted done for the day.... Although back then I never even thought how great that was, but today, I feel special. Thank you Mrs. Hoffman
