Died October 1, 2013 at home in Cloverdale at the age of 55. A native of Los Angeles born to Rita and the late Charles Copping. He was the loving husband of Cheryl for 13 years, and the father of Christina and Cynthia. David is also survived by his sisters April, Katy and Lori, and step children, Becky, Jennifer, Andrew, Erika and Ben, and ten grandchildren. David enjoyed playing guitar, composing and expressing his social conscience in his music. He played with several local bands, including Striking Blue, Pache`, and Plan B. He enjoyed gardening and cultivating his beloved orchids, reading National Geographic and playing with animals. A Journeyman Engineer David started his career in Portland, Oregon at 17 with his father doing HVAC, later taking over the business. The past 13 years he was a member of local 38. During David's 38 year career he felt the need to give back.
