MOSS, Margaret 'Mardy' Entered into rest February 12, 2014 in Santa Rosa, surrounded by loving family. Born in McCook, Nebraska November 24, 1920, a daughter of Frank and Margaret Colfer, the youngest of three brothers and two sisters, all deceased. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl; devoted mother of Margaret Moss, Jr. and Theresa (Ted Weber) Moss Weber; grandmother to Nicole (Annika Baake) and Marielle Yazolino, Roy (Anna), Ross (Delila), Andrew Weber, Ted (Camille) Weber, Jr., and Jennifer (Justin) Ferronato; great grandmother of Joshua and Jeremiah Weber, Hailey and Madison Pavloff Weber, Eva Weber, Audrey Weber, and Braxton, Blayke, and Branzin Ferronato. Member of St. Rose Catholic Church since 1947 where she served as lector and Eucharistic Minister. Her faith was a vital part of her life. Mardy was employed for years as a clinical laboratory tech, working at both the General Hospital and Sonoma County Hospital (now Sutter), and in private laboratories. With a pathologist, she helped in organizing the Sonoma County Blood Bank. She was past president of the Young Ladies Inst., secretary for Catholic Charities Auxiliary and a member of the Welfare League. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and attending Little League games to watch her grandsons play. She enjoyed working the daily crossword puzzle, watching Jeopardy, and her favorite series was Downton Abbey. She greatly enjoyed morning coffee with dear friends. A memorial mass will be said at Saint Rose Catholic Church 398 10th St, Santa Rosa, at 10:00 am on Friday, February 21, 2014. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Memorial donations may be made in Mardy's name to Sutter Hospice.
