Born in Los Angeles Mickey Singer, a long time resident of Sonoma County, passed away unexpectedly on March 3. He is survived by his wife Marian, his sons Michael "Micki" Singer of Missoula, MT and Daniel (Rover) Singer of Altadina, CA and his daughter Valerie Singer of Altoona, IA. Mickey was senior class president of the first graduating class of Menlo Atherton High School (1952). He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from San Jose State. He served as president of the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce. He was the owner of Pennisula Hardware in Palo Alto and Windsor Feed and Supply plus working as a real estate broker and financial planner. After retirement he spent many happy hours with his hunting friends, playing tournament poker and enjoying his country home. His wealth of jokes and humor were one of his best traits. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at One o'clock p.m. at Santa Rosa Mortuary Chapel, 1900 Franklin Ave., Santa Rosa. Donations in his name may be made to the Council on Aging, 30 Kawana Springs Court, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 or Sonoma County Museum, 425 7th Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
