Born March 17, 1917 in Oakman, Alabama, he passed away peacefully on April 13, 2014 in Santa Rosa. He was the loving son of the late Carl and Grace Hutto, brother of the late Rufus Hutto and brother-in-law of the late Bob Falco Sr. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Amelia Hutto; brother-in-law Spirito Falco (Josephine) and sister-in-law Lenora Falco; cousins Tom Nash(Diane) and Morris Miles; nephews and nieces, Ronald Falco(Sarah), Robert Falco Jr.(Susan) and Melinda Moeller(Craig). He is also lovingly survived by numerous other cousins and a dear aunt. After college John entered the US Navy and served his country proudly for 25 years. He was a fighter pilot in World War II and the Korean War and was awarded several medals - The Navy Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, among others. He retired in 1966, settled in Santa Rosa and was a local substitute teacher for a short while. He was a member of CTBA, raising thoroughbred horses, which he enjoyed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa.
