84, of Windsor, formerly of Connecticut, passed away on May 19, 2014 with family at his daughter's home in East Texas, and he will be dearly missed. Edward was born on May 31, 1929 to his proud parents Angeline and Edward H. Brochu. He was one of four children, two predeceased him, his sister Ruth and brother Gilbert. Edward was also predeceased by his daughter, Laura Rene Brochu, and he will be laid to rest next to her at Shiloh Annex in Windsor. Edward was a successful businessman. He founded, owned, and operated EdCo R&D Machine Shop. He was an inventor and worked up until he was 81 years old. He is survived by his sister, Dolores; his sons, Edward Halsey and Jeffrey Brochu; his daughter , Michelle Ballard; four grandchildren, Elicia and Garrett Ballard, and Summer and Judge Brochu; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Dianne. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Shiloh Annex, 1750 Shiloh Rd., Windsor.
