In loving memory, we say goodbye to Mary Fife. A 91 year old mother of three, Mary lived in Northwest Santa Rosa for 56 years. Born in January of 1923, Mary grew up in the small coal mining town of Winter Park, Utah. She was married to Alfred "Dick" Fife (d.1974) in 1944 and lived in Daly City, CA until 1958 when the family moved to Santa Rosa on to a ten acre farm. Mary was an amazingly generous woman who always opened her heart and home to strangers making their way through life. Mary adored and enjoyed the family which survives her. Her three children; Jim, Dennis and Virginia, her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren will miss her dearly as well as all her extended family and friends. She is also survived by a sister, Cleo Matysik age 85. A special thanks to all those who gave their time to care for Mary these last eight years in her battle with dementia, especially Litia for such intimate devotion and personal care during these last two years when she became bedbound.
