Died peacefully in her home after a brief yet valiant battle with cancer on July 23, 2014. Bee was born to John E. and Lulu Cline Kosteling, on July 13, 1937 at St. Joseph's Hospital in San Francisco. She graduated from Washington High School, in San Francisco in 1955. Four days after graduation, she married the love of her life, Frank Kenney, a marriage that would last for 59 years. They eventually settled in Petaluma in 1965 to raise their family. In addition to her husband, Bee is survived by her sons Richard Kenney (Dianne) of Petaluma, Steve Kenney of Cloverdale and daughter Renee Gillespie (Rick) of Penngrove. Bee, or "Sassy" as she was fondly known as to her grandkids, is also survived by grandchildren Sarah Wilson of Pleasant Hill, Jennifer Rabe of El Dorado Hills, Danielle Netherton of Chico, Casey and Brent Gillespie of Penngrove, Cory and Leah Kenney of Cloverdale, Michael and Thomas Kamplain of Santa Rosa, Sarah Shields of Reno, NV, Josh Shields of Eugene, OR, and by seven great grandchildren. Bee made it a point to find the good in everyone. Bee loved being a wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held August 7th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Petaluma Elks Lodge, 2105 S. McDowell Blvd, in Petaluma. Lunch will be provided.
