Passed away peacefully at Kaiser Hospital in the early morning of August 3, 2014, with her daughter at her side. Ruth, as she was called by friends and family, was born on June 19, 1923 in Beach, ND to Thora and George Attletweed. At age three, she and her family moved to Berkeley, where she attended Thousand Oaks Elementary, Garfield Jr. High and Berkeley High School, class of 1940. Where she met the love of her life Wallace Fawcett. She worked for Alcoa Aluminium and the Quarter Masters Dept. during World War II. Married Wallace April 6, 1943. After their first daughter was born, she and Wally moved to Santa Rosa in 1949. Ruth loved archeology and reading. She was a life time member of The Son's of Norway. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Wally, her brother George Attletweed, Jr. and her daughter Kathryn Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Terry) Larson, granddaughter Melissa (Terry) Cherney, grandson, David Larson, granddaughter Valerie (Matt) Wolfe, great granddaughters, Annika and Maggie Wolfe and Samantha Cherney. Ruth was a wonderful homemaker, mom and grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 4930 Newanga Ave., Santa Rosa.
