Lucille Odgers Obituary

Passed away on December 7, 2009 at the age of 86, in Santa Rosa. A California native, she was a resident of Santa Rosa for over 45 years. She is predeceased by her husband Fred and, unfortunately, by two of her children, Randy and Jeanette. She is survived by three sons: Jim Odgers, Bo Luhrs and Steve Todd; by six grandchildren: Sherri Lothyan, Casey Odgers, Rhea McAninch, Lara Cassaday, Shannon Todd and Erik Todd; and two great-grandchildren: Haylee McAninch and Kohl Cassaday. She could trace her lineage back to the Mayflower. She was an enthusiastic world traveler, who was particularly fond of the Hawai'ian Islands. For many years, throughout the state, she worked as a telephone operator, and along with her husband, belonged to the Redwood Telephone Pioneers Association. Later, after retiring from the telephone company, she worked at JC Penney, in Coddingtown. As per her wishes, there will be no services. Because she gave and was kind to so many different organizations, if one wishes, we recommend making a donation to a local charity in your hometown. Lucille was loved by all and shall be missed.
