Jane Marie Dixon Garrity, born July 25, 1946, died peacefully March 23, 2012, on a beautiful sunny day in the arms of her loving husband, Stephen, daughter, Shannon and son, Michael. Jane was a native of San Francisco and lived in Cloverdale for the past 37 years. Her smile touched everyone she met, her strength and courage has been a lesson to all. Although she is gone from this world she has left us a love that will be carried in our hearts forever. Janie and Steve were inseparable for 39 wonderful years. As she put it in the beginning of their relationship, "I'll stick around as long as it feels good." She got the best out of every day and every situation, a way of life she has passed on to all that she touched. She is survived by family: husband, Stephen Craig Garrity; children, Shannon Marie (Neal) Minnis, Michael Cameron (Tracy) Garrity and Leah Garrity Macleod; grandchildren Katlyn Marie, Taylar Jane and Kali Ann Minnis, Hannah May and Copper Cameron Garrity and Kaleb Garrity and Gavin Garrity Letulle; sister, Bobbi (Peter) Ruhkala; loving in-laws; Van and Margie Schoell and Mike and Roberta Garrity, as well as so many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, too numerous to list. It was evident to all that the number one joy in her life was her family. The world has lost a free spirit, but heaven has gained an angel.
