Maxine Mabry, a long time resident of Sonoma died at home on Saturday, May 28. She was 87 years old. Maxine was born in Martinez, California and spent her early life in Crockett, California. She graduated from John Swett High School in 1942. She attended Santa Rosa Junior College and graduated from San Francscio Childrens' Hospital in 1946. She was a Registered Nurse and obtained a Masters Degree in Health Services from St. Mary's University in 1987. She was an avid tennis player, hiker, and business woman. She was in charge of Marketing of the family winery Landmark Vineyards for twenty three years. She served as an Ombudsman for eleven years. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of Spring Lake Village and started the Sonoma branch of Center Point, a Carl Jung oriented philosophy group. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Col. Bill Mabry, son Bill Mabry III, daughter Katherine Mabry, and grand daughters Jessie Dereniuk Gordon, Sonoma, and Hannah Mabry of Forestville. Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Friends in Sonoma Helping F.I.S.H. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 12 at 1:30 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 275 E.
