Ann LeBrun-Burnett passed away November 9, 2012 in Vancouver, WA. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Norman S. Burnett and loving daughter, Suzanne Gilman (Eric) of Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael R. LeBrun and was grandmother to Isaac Gilman of Beaverton, OR, Elias Gilman and Joshua Gilman of Vancouver, WA. She is survived by four nephews, a niece, four step-children and nine step-grandchildren. Ann wanted to be a nurse but was dissuaded by her family doctor because of chronic undulant fever. She graduated from Heald College, Oakland and worked as a medical secretary in San Francisco. Later she worked as a secretary bookkeeper at U.C. Berkeley in the Agricultural Extension Office. Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley where she taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school and volunteered in the church office. She helped in her children's classes and their scouting groups. Ann moved to Sebastopol, CA in 1964 with her first husband, Michel "Jack" LeBrun and her two children, Suzanne and Michael. Ann was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, floral arranging and hiking. She went backpacking with her son, Michael, on the Pacific Crest Trail. She loved dogs and enjoyed her Golden Retriever. She became a member of First Presbyterian Church, Santa Rosa. She was also a member of Western Sonoma County Historical Society since 1980 and worked at restoring the Burbank Farm, where she also volunteered. Ann also belonged to the Sonoma Land Trust, Madrone Audubon Society, Sempervirens Fund and PEO Sisterhood Chapter HJ, Santa Rosa. Ann's Memorial Service will be on December 8th, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Rosa.
