Passed away after a lengthy illness, at the age of 46. John was born and raised in Santa Rosa. Dearly beloved son of Dennis and Dona Asti of Santa Rosa. Dearest father to Justin and Ryan Asti of Berkeley. Loving brother to Joe Asti and his wife Veronique and loving uncle to Katianna and Kiara Asti, all of Santa Rosa. Cherished friend of his former wife, Julie Asti of Berkeley. Also survived by his aunt; Gerri Asti of Santa Rosa, his aunt and uncle; Janice and Ray Davis of Bear, Delaware, his uncle; David Asti and aunt; May Yee, both of Richmond, CA. John is preceded in death by his grandparents; Sam and Minnie Asti of Santa Rosa, and his best friend; Bryan Marc Lee. John was a part of a large and loving family and had many close cousins, too numerous to mention. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1985. John was known for his "heart of gold", his generous spirit and his love of a good time. He had a deep appreciation of nature and of all living things, and was an avid collector of coins and stamps. He had an unforgettable smile. His impersonation of "Pepperman" at the Family Cabin in Mineral, CA is considered to be one of his finest moments. Private family services with interment will be held. A public gathering of family and friends to remember our dearest John will be announced and held at a future date. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers and would appreciate memorial contributions in John's memory be sent to the Justin and Ryan Asti Trust Fund, in care of The Exchange Bank (2416 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405) -or- to the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue's Raptor Recovery Center (P.O.
