John Craig Reynolds Ragozzino passed away December 19, 2012. Dearly beloved husband to the late Dolores A. Reynolds, loving father to Lorraine Elizabeth Ragozzino (Daniel), Kathryn Dolores Grossi (Thomas), Denise Janet Ragozzino and Elisabeth Marie Reynolds. Family was everything to John, a valuable part of the lives of nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. John had a charming sense of humor and he loved to see his family and friends laugh. Above all, John was loving, benevolent and a gentleman in the true sense. Johnny Reynolds Ragozzino was born in Brooklyn New York on January 1, 1925 to John and Emma (Monetti) Ragozzino. John grew up in San Francisco with eleven siblings, survived by Aldo Ragozzino of Petaluma and Rita Ragozzino Baum of Los Gatos. John attended Marina Junior High School and graduated from Galileo High School in San Francisco. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a Chief Pharmacist on the LST 817 in World War II. After the war he married his sweetheart, Dolores. They were together for 63 wonderful years until she passed away in 2010. John was a well known realtor and developer in Marin County for over 40 years, having opened the first Century 21 Real Estate in Northern California and served as president of the Marin Board of Realtors. John was a tireless advocate for the rights of disabled people and served several years as President of the Board of Directors of Easters Seals and Marin Aid to Retarded Citizens. He was a member of the Masonic Order, The Shriners and the Royal Order of Jesters. Among all of these groups he was universally respected and adored. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the ADOBE CREEK FUNERAL HOME, 331 Lakeville Street, Petaluma. Private Entombment. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Devon House through Casa Allegra Group Homes at 35 Mitchell Blvd., Suite 8, San Rafael, CA 94903 or Marin Ventures, 350 Merrydale Road, San Rafael, CA 94903.
