Sam Roybal of Sonoma entered Heaven on January 10, 2013. He was an active member of his church and community. He participated as a Eucharistic Minister taking Communion to the sick, was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, was a former Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, and participated in various ministries at his church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was proud to be a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria and son, David. He is survived by his children: Richard (Suzanne), Mary Campi, Andrew (Stefani) and daughter-in-law Mary. He was a devoted grandfather to Jennifer Andrews (Mike), Debbie Yong (Bill), Jonathan (Georgiana), Elizabeth Marshall (Jerrod), Matthew (Melissa), Joshua, Victoria Campi, and George Campi III. Sam was thrilled to be the great grandfather of: Christopher and Emily Andrews, Andrew and Tyler Yong, Nicole Fox, Harry and Lucy Marshall, Carolina Roybal, and two more on the way. He was also a dedicated brother in law to Jack Jackson of Auburn. Friends and family are invited to a vigil service on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Duggan's Mortuary, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Solano Church, 469 Third St. West, Sonoma. Graveside services will follow at St. Francis Solano Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to FISH, P.O. Box 507, Sonoma, CA 95476. Prayers and Masses are also appreciated. Arrangements under the direction of Duggan's Mission Chapel, Sonoma.
