She was born in New York, attended Lake Erie College in Ohio, received an MA from the School of Applied Social Work at Case Western Reserve University after which she worked in social services in Ohio prior to moving to the Sebastopol area in 1978 with her husband Roger Rose. Judy was wife to Roger, mother to Morgan, Kate, and Jon and grandmother to Ella and Maisy. She also leaves behind her brother Rick, wife Heather, and nieces Eliza and Sarah. Judy worked for over 30 years in mental health services in Sonoma county before retiring where she developed a large and supportive group of friends that have stood by her through her journey. Judy took great pleasure in her friends, gardening, and traveling. She also took great joy in being a member of the Poyntless Sistars from their beginnings as a trio thru the transition to a complete show band. A celebration of her life will be held January 26 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center Cabaret Room.
