Born October 13, 1934 in Covelo, CA on the Round Valley Reservation to Thomas J. Hoaglin and Adeline L. Figueroa (Fulwider) entered into rest on April 2, 2013 in Santa Rosa, CA surrounded by family. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hoaglin, son Thomas (TJ) Hoaglin, parents, Thomas J. Hoaglin and Adeline L. Figueroa. Also preceded in death by his brothers, Buckley, Allen, Thomas, and Donald Hoaglin and Sister, Yvonne. Survived by his brothers, Arnold Hoaglin and wife Irma; George, and Ricardo Hoaglin, Danny Figueroa and wife Barbara; Sisters Phyllis Amante, Priscilla Brown, Gerri Sedeno and husband Russell, Edwina Lincoln and husband Pat. Loving father to Dean Hoaglin and wife Michelle of Roseville, CA; Timi Hoaglin, William Hoaglin and wife Carmen, Ernest Hoaglin, Jr., all of Santa Rosa; Eric Hoaglin of Oakland, CA; Shelly (Sugar) Hoaglin of Chico, CA; and Farand Hoaglin of Oakland, CA; Uncle Luis (Buddy) Fulwider of Ukiah, CA; Aunts Norma Knight and Kathleen Cook, of Covelo, CA; including 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews. Ernest enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 17 and served from 1952 to 1956. He spent most of his adult life working and residing in Alameda County for 40 years and worked in San Francisco for 30 plus years at California Builder's Hardware where he also retired. He was an avid Raider, Warriors, and Oakland A's fan. Ernest enjoyed coaching his Warriors Native American men's basketball and fast pitch softball teams and loved traveling to various tournaments where his teams won many championships. Ernest had a love for country music and often enjoyed playing pool while listening to country music. Ernest enjoyed attending Pow Wows, was proud of his Native American heritage and was very proud of being a member of the Round Valley Tribe and learned the value of love and caring for family and friends from his grandparents. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Center, on Airport Road in Covelo, CA. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Recreation Center. Burial will be at Headquarters Cemetery, Covelo, CA. SERVICES UNDER THE DIRECTION OF ANKER LUCIER MORTUARY, Willits, CA.
