Taylor Shane WARD

A Funeral Service for Taylor Shane Ward, age 19 of Vacaville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 311 Alamo Drive, Vacaville. A viewing will be held 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, September 12, 2013 at Vaca Hills Chapel 524 Elmira Road, Vacaville. Taylor will be laid to rest at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Taylor was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on April 20, 1994 to Deidre and Trevor Ward. He passed away September 4, 2013 in Idaho while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Taylor was loving, caring and gentle natured. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew to a family that deeply adored him. Taylor was a 2012 graduate of Vanden High School. He loved to work out with his friends and always could be counted on to lend a hand to someone in need. He played softball and was a a volunteer coach for the Vanden Junior Varsity Softball team. Taylor's real passion was Hockey. His talent was leading him to the NHL and he had even moved back to Canada to fulfill his dream. While there, his heart led him back home to fulfill a mission for his church. Tragically, his mission was cut short by an automobile accident. Taylor is survived by his parents, Deidre and Trevor Ward; brother, Brandon; sister, Krista; paternal grandparents, Wynn and Stan Ward of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada; maternal grandparents, Roy and Marlene Wright of Vauxhall, Alberta, Canada; great grandparents, Leapha and Don Goodman of Edmonton, Canada; aunts and uncles, Darcy and Darryl, Deborah and Chuck, Karla and Kevin, Kimberly and Daniel, Robyn and Benj, Amanda and Ryan, Michele and Bob, Debbie, Andrew; 27 cousins, Elder Bryce Clyde who is currently serving a Mission in Guatemala; and best friend, Kyle Herout.
