Coleen ROTHENBERG Obituary

ROTHENBERG, Coleen Coleen Ann Rothenberg, age 80, passed away at her home in Santa Rosa on February 18, 2017. She was born in Denver, Colorado in 1936. She moved to Santa Rosa 27 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Irwin Rothenberg; two children, Steven (Susan) Rothenberg, and Karly (Tom) MacKay; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Cathryn, and Zach. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Soltz, and her aunt, Ann Silverman. Coleen had a great passion for life. Her laughter was infectious. Her generous spirit and eternal optimism, were gifts to all who knew her. Coleen was a gifted theater actor for many years and passed her love of the arts on to her daughter Karly and eldest granddaughter Jessica, both of whom are currently working actors. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Congregation Shomrei Torah, 2600 Bennett Valley Rd., Santa Rosa 95404. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Congregation Shomrei Torah Facility Endowment Fund at the address above.

I was so sorry to learn of Coleen's passing. She was always extremely warm and welcoming to me and made me feel like a member of the Rothenberg family. Her zest for life was inspirational; she lit up a room with her presence. My condolences to the Rothenberg family. Coleen will be sorely missed!
