June Campion Obituary



CAMPION, JUNE DORIS (Masterson) 83 - of Vero Beach, FL, died May 11, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 14, 1925, to the late Frank and Dorothea (Kreiss) Masterson. June was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Francis (Frank) Campion. They met and married in N. Wildwood in 1944, where Frank was stationed during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. She completed her education in Wildwood, graduating from Wildwood High School- class of 1942- as a member of the National Honor Society. She lived in Meriden, CT before moving to Vineland in 1952. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. for 17 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a 50 plus year member of the First United Methodist Church, Vineland. She moved to Vero Beach in 2009 to be with her daughters. June is survived by two daughters, Sharon DeForest (James) and Sheryl Snyder (Robert) of Vero Beach; four grandchildren, Robert Snyder Jr. (Lorraine) and Kelly Snyder (Michael) of Vineland; James DeForest Jr. (Jennifer) of Chicopee, MA and Jennifer King (Christopher) of Great Falls, MT; four great grandchildren, Catherine Snyder and Zander Romanini of Vineland, Sumer King and Tyler King of Great Falls, MT. She is also survived by three brothers, Frank Masterson, David Masterson (Betty Lou), and Paul Masterson, all of New Jersey; two sisters, Dorothy Rice and Kathryn Parmenter, both of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 700 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360 or to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
