DILLON, BARBARA "BABS" (nee BURNS) 87 - of the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 8, 2012 at the Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center-Mainland division. She passed away after a short illness and a well lived life. Babs was born in Ventnor and was a lifelong Atlantic City resident. She was retired from the Bell Telephone Company where she worked for over 30 years, and was a member of the Pioneers of America. Her love for spending time with her family was her greatest joy. BABS spent many years taking care of her many "children". She also enjoyed spending time with her slot and bingo buddies. Babs is predeceased by her parents Thomas A., and Regina Burns, sister Patricia Campbell, and brother Tommy Burns. She is survived by her son Chuck (Anne) of Northfield, daughter Barbara (Michael) Suckiel of Mays Landing, and her other "daughter" Chrissy Dunleavy Daly, as well as her grandchildren; Conor, Luke, and Casey Dillon, and Kelly and Shannon Suckiel and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her children, Charlie Dillon. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Barbara Dillon, 10am Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church California and Atlantic Avenues, Atlantic City. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 9am. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
