DeBRAUX, JAMES E. SR. 81 - of Pleasantville departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on October 25th, in the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center of AC following a lengthy illness. Born in Emporia, Va., he attended the local public schools and later enlisted into the U.S. Army. Mr. DeBraux relocated to AC as a youngman and for the past twenty years he was a resident of Pleasantville. A former member of Second Baptist Church of AC, he was currently affiliated with The Greater Fellowship Church of Pleasantville and was well-known for his beautiful bass singing voice. A former AC Police Officer, bank security guard and armored car worker, he was lastly employed as a security guard for the AC Expressway. Mr. DeBraux also was a self-employed businessman and owner of the former Railway Salvage Funiture Store. Predeceased by his parents, his children James, Jr. and Felicia DeBraux and a step-daughter, Shirley Wilson, he is survived by: a loving wife, Flossie; two daughters, Jennifer Wilson of Camden, NJ and Corrine of California; one son, Bruce Wilson of Pleasantville; two step-daughters, Valerie and Marlene Kelly; a step-son, Earl Wilson (Tracey), all of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Devon DeBraux, Latroy and Isaiah Spencer, Jeremiah, Evelyn, Lydia, Jaylesha, Destiny, Jesse and Justin Wilson, Matthew (Shauna), Anthony (Joellen and Hassan Kelly and a host of great-grands, other loving relatives and friends. Home-going funeral services will be held on Sat., November 3, 2012 at 1pm at Mikals Funeral Parlor, 30 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Viewing from 11am to 1pm.
