I met John & his wife Yolanta at my first Real Estate Convention in AC. We sat together and listened to a guest speaker. I really enjoyed myself and was able to relax thanks to John. John has recommended me in my Carpet business. He always had a smile and time to chat. My heart goes out to the Risso family. God bless John. Ken Discount

Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Risso family. John was someone who touched everyone he came in contact with in a very positive way. While real estate brought us together, it was our many trips together that we will always remember and cherish. Walking the Riverwalk in SanAntonio or shopping in Mexico to just being on the Boardwalk in Wildwood. John was John - always the same happy optimistic guy. We will miss you John. Bet you are walking around heaven right now.

I knew John for many years, and enjoyed his parties, the HOT cruise, and being a member of Helping Out Together. After I left New Jersey in 1998 to be with my family in Raleigh, NC, I continued to communicate with him by e-mails. I want to offer my condolences to his wife Jolanta and his family. He was a very young man at heart, and he will be missed.

Girls,
I was shocked when I heard this. Time just passes by so quickly. I have a great many of fond memories of your dad at your house and the office. He was crazy funny. When I think about them it puts a smile on my face. We will all miss him but glad we have had the opportunity to know him.

John sold us our first home. We were very young and he did everything to make sure we got a great deal. He was very caring way back then the in 70's and as life moved on Mr. Risso made the dreams of may young couples a reality of owning a home here in Brigantine. Always a smile and big hi to everyone he met along the way. Everyone who knew John will miss him very much......

John was a remarkable man my memories of him include- sharing laughs at the polish club, the Pulaski parade in philly, serving meals together at our fundraiser dinners it never seemed like work John made service to others its own reward ill miss your lively energetic talkative nature what a great guy, who will be sorely missed, though fondly remembered.

John was a mentor to me in my early days of real estate. His optimistic attitude was absolutely infectious. He was one of the warmest most giving people I have ever met.
I still remember a long RPAC bus ride to Washington DC where John and I spoke for hours about real estate, family and life in general. John was a great family man and a caring friend who always placed service above self. We will miss you JR.

I am extremely saddened to read of John's passing. He was one of my closest friends. He lived directly across the street from me on Monmouth Avenue in Ventnor. We knew each other from the time we were toddlers. We boated, swam, fished, and played sandlot ball together. In the summertine, after dinner, we made a nightly ritual of going to the COFFEE BAR on Ventnor Avenue for an ice cream cone. John never missed a day in high school and won an award for it. He would rise early and in one year built a small cabin cruiser in his garage. As with so many childhood friends we lost track of each other. We were both most delighted when we got reconnected on CLASSMATES.COM and for the past five years were in constant touch with each other. My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to all of John's family at this time. He adored his family and they always came first with him. I will miss his e-mails and banter.

John was a wonderful, kind and generous man. I am so sorry he is gone because there are not many people like him. I will miss him. He was very kind to me and many others; always had a good word and a smile. He helped me in many ways. If anyone goes right to heaven, it will be John...but this is much too soon.

We were shocked and saddened to hear about John's passing. John always treated us kindly and in a very friendly manner. When ever we would go into the office he always had friendly hello for us and stopped to ask us how we were. He will be missed by so many, but for us now to go in the office and not to be able to peek in and wave to John or if he was not busy to yell out a hello and see him smile will be something we will miss terribly.
Our Condolences to John's Wife and children and his Whole Risso Family

The Brewsters
The poem below has given comfort to me in the past I hope it offers some to the people who loved and miss John.

Life will not go on in the same
way without our loved ones. If it were
the same, we could only conclude
their life meant nothing, made
no contribution. The fact that
they left behind a place that cannot
be filled is a high tribute to the
uniqueness of their soul.
