THOMAS, MAXINE R. 64 - of Pleasantville, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord. Born in Danville, Va. to the late Raymond DeShazor and Inell DeShazor, she attended the local public schools and graduated from John M. Langston High School, where she also sang on the choir. A former member of the Camp Grove Baptist Church, she relocated to AC in the late 1960's. She worked as an L.P.N. at the former King David Care Center, AC Hospital and she was lastly employed at the Linwood Care Center in Linwood: Surviving are: a loving husband, Clifton "Butch" W. Thomas, Sr. of Pleasantville; a loving mother, Inell DeShazor of Danville; two-step-daughters, Kimberly Thomas of Somers Point and Terri Johnson of Pleasantville; one step-son, Clifton, Jr. of Los Angeles, Ca.; four brothers, Billy DeShazor (Angela) of Danville, Willard DeShazor (Patricia) of Orlando, Fla., Miller DeShazor (Kay) of Highland Springs, Va. and Shan DeShazor of Absecon; seven step-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives. Viewing services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Mikal's Funeral Parlor, 30 N. Pennsylvania Ave. from 3pm to 7pm. The funeral and burial will take place in Danville, Va.
