BEAR, STANLEY 96 - of King of Prussia, PA, Atlantic City and recently, Gordonsville, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2012 at his home. Born, June 23, 1916, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Oliver Bear and Eleanor Beifel Bear. Stanley was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons and a WWII veteran of the United States Army stationed in the Pacific. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Bear, of Gordonsville, VA and his children, Lois Bennett (Shecky) of Margate, N.J., Buddy Bear (Ellen) of Wynnewood, PA, step-children, Lori Costanza (Jon) of Collegeville, PA, Steven Shareff (Tracy) of Mineral, Virginia, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Bear. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Hill & Wood Chapel, Rabbi Tom Gutherz officiating. A memorial service will be held in the Philadelphia area at a later date.
