SCHIFFERDECKER, JONATHAN ROBERT 22 - of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Born in Somers Point, he was a lifetime resident here. He was a graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School Class of 2008. While at Wildwood Catholic, he was a lead attorney for the Mock Trial Team and captain of the Forensics Team. After graduation, Jonathan attended Catholic University of America from 2008-2010. Inspired by The Invisible Children, Jonathan went to Uganda in 2009 to work with the orphans there. He maintained many friendships in Africa and considered his trip one of the most meaningful events in his short, but purposeful life. Jonathan was a Senior at Temple University, where he was the head writer for Temple SMASH and the captain of Fowl Play, Temple's Improv Team. A singer, songwriter, amateur filmmaker, comedian, and writer, he was pursuing his dream of writing for television. He most recent achievement was an internship at the Tony Awards in New York. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Don and Patti Schifferdecker; his grand-mothers, Gerry Schifferdecker and Patricia Bova; his brother, Von; and his best friend, partner, and love of his life, Emily Diego. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many wonderful friends. Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to The Annual Appeal, Wildwood Catholic High School, 1500 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260 or to Development, School of Media and Communication, Temple University, 334 Annenberg Hall, 2020 North 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.
