DUTTON, DANIEL DAVID SR. - of Mays Landing passed away suddenly on February 23, 2013. Born on March 10, 1958 in Atlantic City to Mary Claire (Scanlon) and Frank Dutton Jr. He graduated Pleasantville High Class of "77". Dan started working as a child, delivering newspapers door to door by bicycle, for The Press of Atlantic City. He ended with 34 years delivering bread for Stroehmann Bakeries. He always had a story to tell that started "My buddy at work told me" as he thought highly of his coworkers. He was part of the Teamsters Local 463. Recently, he started his snow plow business. The first sight of snow, you could see him getting his plow truck ready. Christmas time was his favorite time of year. He loved decorating, the music, and most importantly making his family smile. He thrived to make people laugh. Sports were his past time. He played football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and golf. He was always watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, Phillies, and Flyers. Dan took his knowledge of the games and became a coach. He coached football and baseball for the M.L.A.A. for many years. Now he adored watching and teaching his grandchildren with sports. In 1978 he married his junior high school sweetheart Irene (McCormick) Dutton, giving them 41 years of love together. They became parents to Daniel Dutton Jr., Stephanie (Dutton) Adair, and Nicole Dutton who he adored. Later, added his son-in-law Steve Adair who he treated as his own. Pop-Pop he became to LaRen Dutton, Ayden Adair, Aubrie Adair, and Madisyn Stengel, who proved to be the joys of his life. Dan is predeceased by his father Frank Dutton Jr., mother-in-law Doris McCormick, brother-in-law Gary McCormick, and nephew Patrick Dutton. He is survived by his mother Mary Claire (Scanlon) Dutton, brothers Frank (Nancy) Dutton, John (Andrea) Dutton, Paul (Dawna) Dutton, Gerald Dutton, Stymie (Tina) Dutton, sisters Elizabeth (Dutton) Salerno and Mary Dutton. Father-in-law Gary McCormick and brother-in-law Steve McCormick. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Mass will be celebrated 1pm Friday Saint Vincent DePaul's Church 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Danny's viewing Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the Saint Vincent DePaul's Church. In lieu of flowers donations to TD Bank â€˜The Dutton Grandchildren College Fund' 399 New Road, Somers Point NJ 08244. Funeral under the direction of the Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral Home, Somers Point.
